State Leaders Celebrate $26.6 Million Affordable Housing Redevelopment In Newark
In partnership with the Newark Housing Authority and Ingerman, we are excited to announce a groundbreaking ceremony for George Read Village on Friday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m.
We hope that you can join us for this event to celebrate the redevelopment of affordable housing in downtown Newark that has been made possible with nearly $26.6 million in local, state, federal and DSHA investments. Once completed, the project will bring 72 affordable housing units, an increase of 18 units, to the housing authority on Main Street.
This is exciting news for the City of Newark and for the State of Delaware!

Where: Newark Housing Authority, cul de sac behind the administration building, 300 Delaware Circle, Newark, DE 19711
We encourage parking along Delaware Circle, which will provide easier access to the site than parking around Main Street. A map is provided below.
Overflow parking will be available at New Ark United Church of Christ, Inc., located at 300 E. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711
