The Newark Housing Authority is taking the necessary precautions to limit the exposure to the Coronavirus Pandemic - COVID-19. We are doing all that we can do to ensure the safety of staff, residents and the public.
At this time the administrative office is closed for walk-ins until further notice. All necessary contact with the office should take place by telephone calls between the hours of 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or by email Monday - Friday.

For local rental assistance that may be available for NHA program participants.
To assist the Newark Housing Authority’s program participants who are facing financial hardships as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis, NHA was made aware of rental assistance payments that may be available from the Newark Area Welfare Committee (NWAC) to assist NHA participating families affected by COVID-19. Please apply below.

Delaware State Housing Authority Housing Assistance Program
The DSHA and Delaware Governor John Carney recently announced a new program to provide emergency assistance to renters impacted by shutdowns, closures, layoffs, reduced work hours, or unpaid leave due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
The Delaware Housing Assistance Program will provide eligible households up to $1,500 in assistance, with payments made directly to the property owner or utility company. Please review the income eligibility restrictions.
